My work attempts to explore and interpret the natural world using an organic medium that has it's own unique feel and is closely tied to nature.
Working with wool, the results can sometimes be unpredictable as the carefully laid fibres move and react differently during the felting process - much like the natural world.
By using fibres, I have learned to let go of perfection and embrace the unexpected.
It is this letting go of perfection, and embracing 'what is and will be' that has given me a unique bond with my art and myself.
I am inspired by the impressionism, post-impressionism, expressionism and modern contemporary art movements.
