JENNIFER RAETSEN | FELTED PAINTINGS

ABOUT
Canadian artist
Specializing in wool fibre, Jennifer Raetsen creates atmospheric works inspired by the landscapes and skies around her. Her practice is shaped by a deep connection to nature and by a family tradition of textile-making passed through generations of women.
Through careful material choices and layered surfaces, she explores themes of emotion, memory, comfort, and vulnerability. Jennifer’s work balances serenity with subtle tension, inviting viewers into contemplative spaces that reflect the complexity and shifting nature of human experience.
Born in Richmond Hill, Ontario she studied Graphic Design at George Brown College in Toronto. Her work has been juried into over 40 shows across Canada and the US and has won several awards. She is a member of the Canadian Society of Artists and works out of her home studio in Toronto, Canada.
